BRIDGE OF ALLAN

This narrow garden was full of dark shrubs and dense planting. Its new owners felt overwhelmed maintaining the garden and wanted to bring in more sunshine.

The garden was opened up with a new central lawn and the use of light, natural materials. Many of the stones used in the walls and curved seat were previously used in the garden as edging stones. The vertical stonework is complemented by a series of horizontal pebble inserts in the paving.

One of the clients completed a horticultural course during the landscape build and is now looking forward to planting up the garden.
